Migrating my blog onto Medium
I’ve finally moved my blog onto the Medium bandwagon and migrated away from Blogger, where I had started writing over 10 years ago. Though this seems like long, I’ve had extended periods of dormancy in between. It was really the last 2 years when I resumed blogging at a regular pace (4 posts a month), after a long hiatus. So, I’ve migrated the ~100 most recent posts onto this new home.
It started about a decade ago as an outlet to share my thoughts and random ramblings. The furious pace was maintained for over a year, after which the frequency of posting trailed off. There were several attempts to revive writing again, but then the writer’s block prevailed and there were just a few intermittent posts, amongst many failed attempts.
In 2015, several things happened — I went on a solo-backpacking trip to Sikkim and Bhutan; spent more time pursuing areas of interest; resumed a sustained focus on reading and writing, and voila — I cleared up the cobwebs in my blog and resumed posting periodically.
While I started regularly posting onto Blogger, it was already a changed world. It no longer had the vibrancy of early 2000s - this was now an abandoned ghost city, with people moving onto more contemporary domains. I wanted to first get back into the posting rhythm, hence set myself a target of crossing 100 posts overall, before expending effort on hunting for a new domain or on migration. Now, with over 150 posts out already, it was time to set this plan to action.
Here, I will continue to share learnings around technology, startups, data, design and analytics — things I’m passionate about. I will pen down my thoughts around travel, adventure, games, movies and books — things I enjoy spending time on. My inward reflections on the journey of life would find some space as well. So, lets continue..
